Designed by Alvar Aalto in the 1930s, the model no. 402 armchair is constructed from a cantilevered birch frame with floating upholstered seat.
The frame has developed a lovely patinated wear to original finish coated and has been coated with a protective sealer.
Newly upholstered in striped cotton fabric.
Unmarked, as many early pieces are.
