Exceptional modular sofa by California architect, Martin Borenstein, c. 1950s. Created under contract in his Berkeley, CA office for a San Francisco showroom, this modular sofa consists of 2 seating elements, 4 walnut storage end tables and bases that suspend the sofa to give the 'floating' appearance.
This piece is in its original fabric and finish, which is in excellent condition given its age.
Upholstery has been professional cleaned and is free of any tears, odors or major stains. Foam has been replaced for bottom seat cushions. Minor veneer chips to end tables.
This sofa can be arranged in a number of different ways. As pictured, it measures 123" x 150".
