Incredibly handsome walnut framed ‘Rail’ sofa designed and crafted by Mel Smillow, c. 1950s.
Solid walnut frame is in excellent original condition with less than typical wear. Original cushions have been replaced with new high density foam and a neutral linen fabric.
Measures 95”L x 29.5”H x 31”D.
Seat measures 16”H.

The item is as described. Wonderful quality and beautifully made. Shopping process was tricky because we had to coordinate with another shipping service to get it delivered to Hawai‘i. While the time of delivery was out of this seller’s hands, the sofa was not packaged in a manner that you would expect a vintage item to be. I ended up paying extra for the shipping company to wrap it. While i understand i had unique circumstances i wish that the sofa was safely wrapped as to avoid dents and scratches, especially for such a long journey. The seller was otherwise responsive and flexible which I appreciate.
